Reading Overview

Overview is the main view of a site. Hits, unique hits, the chart, and the tables below it all follow the date range you pick, except Top pages (all time).

The chart

Pick a range (Last 24 Hours, 7 Days, 30 Days, All Time, and the rest). Multi-day views can group by day, week, month, or quarter. A single day groups by hour.

Week starts on is Sunday or Monday, in account settings. This week, Last week, and weekly charts follow it.

  • Hits — how many times pages loaded.
  • Unique hits (if you turned them on) — an approximate count from anonymous daily hashes. See unique hits.

Paid plans can turn Lifetime Hits, Traffic Graph, and Uptime Status cards on or off under Settings → Appearance → Site Overview Display.

Tables under the chart

Show or hide each block, and drag the order, under Settings → Appearance → Stats Sections.

Goals is conversions and rate when the site has at least one goal. Default on. See goals.

Top pages is the date-range table: the most viewed pages in the range you picked.

Top pages (all time) is a separate block. The date filter does not apply. New sites start with it off; existing sites keep whatever they already had.

User journeys (paid) are visitors with more than one page in the range. Sessions (paid) are every visitor hash in the range, including one-page visits. These are not durable people. The hash rotates with the day. See unique hits.

Referrers — where traffic came from: Direct, external sites, and Internal (often hidden by default). Tinylytics records whatever the browser sends. LinkedIn, Google, and many others send only the origin (linkedin.com, google.com), not the page or search keywords. That is their Referrer-Policy, not a Tinylytics limit. Use Google Search Console for search terms. On links you control, UTM parameters still work.

Countries — from the visitor’s IP, discarded after the lookup.

Browsers and Platforms are two separate headings (Chrome, Safari, Vivaldi; iOS, Android, macOS, Windows).

AI agents is hidden by default. It is visits from known assistants and crawlers, not included in hits. See AI agent traffic.

Filters

The date picker is the main filter. You can also filter by path. Path filter is exact, so /docs does not include /docs/api. For prefix views, use segments.

Insights

The Insights tab looks for spikes, new top content, and referrer changes. More in Insights.
