A few things that used to slip past Tinylytics are now counted or easier to see. Forms are tracked on their own, direct visits have their own row in Referrers, and your email reports can show more countries.
Forms are counted automatically
If you already count outbound links and downloads, forms now join them. When "Count outbound links, downloads, and forms" is on in Settings โ Tracking, form submissions are counted without any extra work on your part. If you set up the script by hand, add ?events&auto to it and you get the same result.
Each form event needs a name, so Tinylytics uses the form's id first. If the form has no id, it uses the form's name, and if neither is set, it uses the page path. You can also make a form event a Goal. The events docs cover the details.
Direct visits in Referrers
Visits that arrive without a referrer now appear as a single Direct row on Overview โ Referrers. Click that row and Overview filters down to just those visits. The Overview docs explain how it works.
More countries in email reports
You can now choose how many countries your grouped email report shows. Go to Account โ Emails, open the grouped report, and pick an option under Countries: Top 5 only (the default), Top 5 + Other, or All countries.
Smaller changes
- Settings pages now wrap properly on phones.
- Account settings now follow whichever team is active.
- There's a new guide for custom script setups.
