Changelog

Changelog August 24th — August 26th

A few things this week around paths, bots that aren’t people, and spam you actually want gone.

August 24th, 2026

  • Hide very high risk hits — on Data → Spam Analysis, an opt-in toggle hides Very High Risk hits from the dashboard. They stay two weeks, then they’re deleted. Review and High Risk are left alone. Uncheck the box to bring them back. Groups and greeting stats follow the same hide.

  • Segments — under Data → Segments, name a prefix (like /blog) and your stats follow that path and everything under it. Everything else catches leftover traffic. See Understanding Your Analytics.
  • AI agent traffic — known AI crawlers and assistants are counted as agent visits, not people, so they don’t inflate views, unique visitors, or public stats. Turn on the AI agents card under Appearance → Stats Sections (off by default). Most crawlers skip JavaScript, so capturing them usually means a server-side request. Full walkthrough: AI Agent Traffic. This is still a work in progress — and I will be tweaking the design and feel of this.
  • 💅 Browser namesBrowsers and Platforms on Overview now pick up names like Vivaldi, WeChat, and Pinterest, and macOS instead of “Mac OS X”.
  • 💅 Top pages (all time) — new sites start with that Overview block off. Existing sites keep whatever you already had. Same list under Appearance → Stats Sections.

  • Agent trials and sign-up — an agent can start a 14-day Pro trial for you. You set your password on the activate page they send. See agent signup. This week, I thought... "Why not?"

Hope you enjoy these.
